The 2012 recipients of the Jimmy McNicholas Memorial Scholarship from
the Albertus Magnus Class of 2016 are Kyra Berkner, Madison Mari and
Kelly Nicholson.

Nothing was more important to Jimmy than his family and his friends.
All the girls wrote beautiful essays on the topic: “How my family has
shaped me into who I am today and who I want to be in the future”.

Kyra is a graduate of Saint Anthony’s School.  She excels in soccer,
playing competitively on several teams.  She was involved with the
drama club and the yearbook committe and she volunteers with Buddy
Ball and in a local Nursing Home.

Kelly is a graduate of Saint Gregory Barbarigo School.  She is
involved in drama club, singing and plays baseball and soccer.  She
loves horseback riding.

Madison is a graduate of Fieldstone School.  She was a member of the
North Rockland JV soccer team and the North Rockland Travel Sapphires.
She was a member of Student Council and participated in the snowboard
club and the orchestra.  She volunteered with Meals on Wheels.

We are proud, as we know Jimmy would be, to honor these wonderful and
promising girls with his scholarship.  Best of luck to all of them!
